Fastco Sandblasting & Painting Co. has been in operation since 1980. The type of services provided include sandblasting, high water pressure washing, specification coatings which include, but are not limited to, enamels, urethane, epoxy systems, solid urethane systems, vinyl coatings, sealers, etc. Other services include sandblasting and painting for residential, commercial, and industrial needs. The majority of our work (90%) is in the water and waste water treatment plant operations.
Fastco Sandblasting & Painting Co. has the privilege of working for various contractors throughout the state of Texas. Our company has provided a variety of services throughout the state of Texas, some of which have been in Laredo, Dallas, Fort Worth, Del Rio, Lower Rio Grande Valley, Huntsville, El Paso, Amarillo, and San Antonio. Fastco Sandblasting & Painting Co. has also completed international projects in Mexico along the border and in the interior, such as Mexico City.

SANDBLASTING
Sandblasting is the process of propelling abrasive particles from a blast machine, using the power of compressed air. Converting abrasive particles and compressed air into an effective cleaning treatment takes knowledge, ability, and proper usage of equipment. Each of these components contributes to the overall performance of the sandblasting system. The sandblasting system consists of three fundamental components, which include the air compressor, the blast machine system, and the abrasive material.
The first component to the sandblasting system is the compressor. The compressor is used to produce adequate air pressure and volume to transmit abrasive from the blast machine to the surface. The abrasive utilizes the force of the compressed air to achieve the desired effect on the surface. Cleaning takes place as a direct result of how efficiently air moves from the compressor to the surface being blasted.
The second component to the sandblasting system is the blast machine. The blast machine is used to smoothly meter the abrasive into the passing air stream. A blast machine with large-diameter pipes, fittings, and valves, connected to a large-diameter air and blast hose is used to avoid problems with the air flow production.
The third component to the blasting system is the abrasive that is used. Ultimately, the abrasive is what will produce the desired finish on the surface.
The three major components of the blast system, the quality and performance of the key elements will all affect the effectiveness of that component and the effectiveness of the entire system.
In the end, even by using a correctly sized compressor, blast machine, and the right abrasive, it takes a trained and skilled operator behind the nozzle to make the system perform to its potential.

PRESSURE WASHING
High Water Pressure Washing is a method used to remove the accumulation of foreign material, to restore, to enhance, and to protect different types of surfaces. Pressure washing is the process of allowing the force of water through a confined space under high pressure to emerge and to strike different types of surfaces. The pressure of the stream of water used will depend on the foreign material to be removed and the surface it will be removed from.
Pressure washers have a motor, a pump to drive water through the hose, and a nozzle tip which controls the pressure of the water as it escapes, providing the force with which it hits the surface. Cleaning takes place as a direct result of how efficiently the water moves from the pump through the hose and nozzle to the surface being pressure washed.
Due to the sensitive nature of this process, it is essential to have a trained person perform this task. If an individual is not trained or skilled in this procedure, a tremendous amount of destruction can occur.
